Description

( small surface checks or small cracks may be present )

Ebony is one of the world’s most prestigious and sought-after hardwoods, renowned for its deep black colouring, exceptional density, and flawless finish. With its fine texture and natural lustre, Ebony is an excellent choice for high-end turning and precision craft work where elegance and durability are essential.

Features:

  • Species: Ebony (Diospyros spp.)

  • Appearance: Jet black to very dark brown, occasionally with subtle lighter streaks

  • Texture: Extremely fine and smooth, capable of achieving a glass-like polish

  • Workability: Very dense and hard; turns cleanly and finishes beautifully with oils, waxes, or high-gloss polish

Applications:
Ideal for pen blanks, musical instrument components, fine inlay work, knife handles, luxury boxes, and other premium decorative projects.

Note:
As a natural timber, variations in colour and grain are to be expected. Due to the dense nature of Ebony and its natural growth characteristics, small surface checks or cracks may occasionally be present.
