This product includes pen blank only not the actual pen. The second photo is just an example of what you can create out of it.
Marblewood (Marmaroxylon racemosum) is an eye-catching and exotic hardwood originating from South America, particularly found in countries such as Brazil, Guyana, and Suriname. It is highly valued for its distinctive appearance, showcasing a golden-yellow to brown heartwood with bold, dark brown to black streaks and swirls that mimic the look of marble, hence its name. The grain is usually straight but can be interlocked or wavy, and the wood’s fine to medium texture adds to its natural sheen.
Known for its excellent workability, Marblewood is relatively easy to machine, carve, and turn. It is a popular choice for high-end woodworking projects, including fine furniture, cabinetry, and decorative pieces. Its moderate density and strength also make it suitable for crafting small specialty items, such as knife handles, pens, and inlays. Marblewood polishes to a smooth, glossy finish, emphasizing its dramatic and eye-catching patterns.
With strong dimensional stability and resistance to abrasion, Marblewood is a reliable option for both indoor and outdoor uses. It has moderate resistance to moisture and pests, which helps it maintain its integrity over time.
