Description
Sapele (Entandrophragma cylindricum)
Sapele is a popular African hardwood known for its rich reddish-brown colour and striking ribbon or interlocked grain. When quarter sawn, it often displays a beautiful, shimmering figure that adds depth and elegance to finished pieces. Its fine to medium texture allows it to take a smooth, high-quality finish.
Strong, stable, and versatile, Sapele is widely used for furniture, cabinetry, veneers, doors, musical instruments, and interior joinery. It machines and finishes well, offering a refined appearance similar to mahogany while providing excellent durability.
⚠️ Note: Natural colour variation and minor grain irregularities may occur, which are characteristic of genuine Sapele and enhance its visual appeal.
