Xylia (Xylia xylocarpa)
Xylia is a dense and durable tropical hardwood native to South and Southeast Asia, valued for its strength and rich natural colour. The heartwood ranges from golden brown to deep reddish-brown, often darkening with age, with a straight to interlocked grain and a fine to medium texture.
Exceptionally hard and wear-resistant, Xylia is well suited for turning, tool handles, flooring, furniture, and heavy-duty woodworking. It finishes to a smooth surface with a subtle natural lustre, highlighting its warm tones and strong character.
⚠️ Note: Due to its density, Xylia can be challenging to work and may show minor surface checks or natural variations in colour and grain, which are part of its authentic appearance.
